The idea for Cointreau X Design originated as a concept to engage the creative class of local social influencers in lifestyle, fashion and design. In keeping with the global brand platform of ‘Dream, Dare, Create’ and Cointreau’s alignment with iconic fashion publications Harper’s Bazaar and Vogue, we created a local campaign ‘Cointreau X Design’ – hosting a series of quarterly influencer tutorials in design, décor and fashion launching Spring 2016.
We designed the event to be hosted in a Vancouver design studio. Enlisting social influencer Randa Salloum to curate a guestlist of Vancouver-based style influencers, when guests first arrive they are greeted with complimentary Cointreau cocktails created by notable local mixologist Kaite Ingram of L’Abattoir and Uva fame. The room is staged with custom centerpieces, floral and orange arrangements, color-coordinated art pieces, a photo booth with hashtag prints, giant orange balloons, and mini Cointreau-branded cocktail shakers. Each guest is provided with a booklet of branded fashion croquis and opens to read the Cointreau Creative Class Manifesto. The fashion illustration course is instructed by local artist Meleesa Lorett, with selected coordinating Cointreau colours for each design tutorial. After the instructional class, we provide guests with a short cocktail tutorial hosted by master mixologist Katie Ingram and provide guests with branded takeaway Coinrtreau mini-bottles and art kits.
